Protect Pregnant Mothers & Preborn Children

Because Every Child Deserves a Birthday

Radio Interview regarding the Initiative

Children live only once. It is a biological fact that we are living human beings from the moment we are conceived. Children have beating hearts by 21 days that continue beating throughout a lifetime, faces by five weeks, brain waves by six weeks, and can feel pain by seven weeks.  By nine weeks, children with arms and legs are moving and sucking their thumbs. Currently, these children can be legally killed up to 40 weeks in the state of Colorado.

In a Constitutional Republic, we can petition our Legislators to represent us in lawmaking, and when Congress does not represent our values, we have a legal right to collect signatures to get measures onto the ballot that people can vote on directly into law without the legislature.

This initiative affirms a child's right to continue living and will protect pregnant mothers and preborn children. This initiative will save the lives of more than 24,000 children from painful dismemberment, starvation, poison, and death before the next election cycle and help protect women from the unnecessary harms of abortion.

More than half of churchgoers in Colorado don't vote. If Christian leaders mobilize congregations to vote Biblically to protect the innocent and rescue those being led away to slaughter (Proverbs 24:11), we could flip Colorado to a prolife state. If 20% more churchgoers will vote - and vote prolife - Colorado could become a prolife state within one election cycle.

We are using God's strategy. Jesus said to the woman caught in adultery, "neither do I condemn you, now go and sin no more." (John 8:11) This initiative does not criminalize any group of people but criminalizes the act of abortion which brutally takes the lives of an innocent child through dismemberment or poison and harms a woman by putting her into preterm labor or stretching her cervix unnaturally causing potential physical harm and long-term psychological, emotional, and spiritual damage.

When we say we believe in the sanctity of all human life, we are responsible for enacting laws that reflect the sanctity of all human life as worth preserving. We cannot hold people to unequal moral standards or only protect some children. We must put forward a fair and just law that God can bless. Abortionists would love for us to create loopholes, but abortion is harmful and never necessary. Everyone needs to be held to the same standard of preserving life.

If we do nothing, we are condoning the current law of abortion through birth. We have a choice to follow God's teaching to create just (fair) laws that protect the innocent, prevent the innocent bloodshed of children, and treat the "least of these" with compassion. This initiative will close abortion clinics and stop abortion pills in the mail. There are more than 200 non-profits, including pregnancy help centers and modern adoption agencies, across Colorado available to help women with their individualized needs that more women will hear about once abortion is no longer an option.

God gave the law of the ten commandments so that we could know right from wrong. Then he gave grace. By giving law, we are telling Coloradans killing children before they can have a birthday is wrong. Then, churches and pregnancy help centers across Colorado can offer women the love and grace needed to bring children into loving and welcoming communities.

Our faith informs our laws. If we don't vote our beliefs, someone else is voting theirs. Good laws reflect the moral laws of God; that's why we have laws against murder and theft. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) If we remain silent, the evil continues, and the bloodshed is on our hands.  (Ezekial 2-3)

"This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." (Deut 30)

Please help us put this initiative onto the ballot so that every voter can choose between the current law of abortion through birth or protecting these children. If we have the faith to pray for the end of abortion, we have the faith to work for the end of abortion. Speaking truth in love, we are educating Colorado voters and putting an end to this holocaust. If we each do our part to educate those around us right where we are, we can help protect future Coloradans. Like the children we protect, we can have a heart, too.
