Colorado Life Scholarship

Award Amount:

$1,000 first prize

$500 second prize

$100 third prize  

​​​Scholarship will be paid directly to the student and the student's family.

Deadline: September 7, 2025

Qualifications: Children ages 12 years through college.

​

Entries will be ranked according to creativity, emotional appeal, factual accuracy, editing, and final product

​

Winning entries will be published through the website gotaheart.org, shared through social media, and may appear on television. Parent must be willing to sign a media release.

​​​​Scholarship entries will be one video with printed text for a :15 second, :30 second, :60 second, OR 2-minute video.

 

Video entries may have either of the two themes:

1) images and video of living, moving children prior to birth to depict the humanity and development of a child prior to birth, OR

2) inviting images and video of resources available to expectant mothers.

Extra consideration will be given for those students who refer to a child in human terms such as "he/she", "daughter/son", (not "it"). AND showing empathy for the child in the womb and their mothers.

​​Students may use text from the gotaheart.org website. Students must obtain permission from the original sources for any photos and video. 

​​​​​
