
Barnhart/Eicher Scholarship

Scholarship will be paid directly to the student.

Qualifications: Any child 5 years through 12th grade who is a United States citizen.
​​​
This is a project expected to be shared between a parent and their child at an age-appropriate level. ​​
​​​​​
Any entry may be published through the website gotaheart.org, shared through social media, and may appear on national television, radio, and other avenues. Parent must be willing to sign a media release.
​​​​​
Entries will be ranked according to creativity, emotional appeal, factual accuracy, editing, and final product.
​​​​
Each student will present a video that may be :15 second, :30 second, :60 second, OR 2-minute in length with a child voice-over of EITHER:
1) images and video of living, moving children prior to birth to depict the humanity and development of a child prior to birth, OR
2) inviting images and video of resources available to expectant mothers.
​​​​
Extra consideration will be given for those students who refer to a child in human terms such as "he/she", "daughter/son", etc. AND showing empathy:
1) for the child in the womb, OR
2) for both the child and mother when showing resources available to help them both.

​​Students may use any words from the gotaheart.org website, but must obtain permission from the original sources for any photos and video.
​​​​
Students are welcome to contact the Co-Proponents through the website with any questions.

Limit two entries per student.
