Sanctity of Human Life In Action

The Catholic Church has a long-standing history of supporting the protection of all human life from conception to natural death. To that end, we are asking for cooperation and collaboration from all Catholics in Colorado as we put forward this ballot initiative that will protect all living children from mutilation and death beginning at conception.

We are excited to put forward a proposal for a new law on the 2024 ballot that agrees with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

2258  Human life is sacred because from its beginning it involves the creative action of God and it remains forever in a special relationship with the Creator, who is its sole end. God alone is the Lord of life from its beginning until its end: no one can under any circumstance claim for himself the right directly to destroy an innocent human being.

2270 Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person — among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life. life.!/search/2270-2274

Every priest and parishioner may decide if they would like to participate. Every churchgoer who is an adult US citizen has the authority to carry a petition, invite others to carry a petition, and if a registered voter in the state of Colorado, vote for life! There are many Catholic parishes across Colorado encouraging participation and welcoming signature gathering to get this initiative onto the ballot. Drop-off and signing events will occur on the campuses of most denominations.

Our grassroots movement is ecumenical, and we welcome participation from anyone who believes in the Sanctity of all Human Life and the protection of all innocent children. Jesus said, "whatever you did unto the least of these... you did unto me."
