The Colorado Life Initiative will protect our youngest and most vulnerable children from the moment they are conceived. In doing that, it will stop tax funds from paying for killing children all nine months of pregnancy and make it legally possible to close death facilities and stop poisonous abortion pills in our state. Parents will be referred to non-violent resources, instead.

This amendment has passed extreme scrutiny by the state Title Board comprised of the offices of the Legislative Council, Secretary of State, and Attorney General and was granted title on October 15, 2025. An appeal was filed for Nov 5th and the amendment is now before the Colorado Supreme Court. We are hopeful that the Official Paper Petition Packets will be available to circulate for in-person signatures before Christmas!

VOTING TRENDS:
In our research, we found that every time a "personhood" amendment has made the ballot in Colorado, just making the ballot, abortions have decreased in the state by 10% over the following three years (according to both the Guttmacher and Charlotte Lozier Institutes). We also found that every time the life issue has been on the ballot, more Coloradans have voted for life!​​ In Colorado, 55% of churchgoers did not vote in the last election cycle. Did you know churchgoers have the majority in Colorado? According to Pew Research, 52% of Colorado adults attend church. If churchgoers will vote - and vote Biblically - we can lead our state for life!

BACKGROUND:
The Declaration of Independence states:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed ...."

The Constitution of the United States declares: In the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution:
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

The 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America instructs:
“No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

It is both a scientific fact (96% of biologists agree) and a theological fact (Jesus came to earth when He was conceived) that we are living human beings from the moment we are conceived. As living human beings, "children have the right to continue living from the moment they are conceived".​ ​​​There are no exceptions to a child who does not deserve to continue living. There is no child who should be executed by the state. There is no child who should be given an untimely death. It is never necessary to intentionally kill a child.

Petitions hand-delivered across the state by Christmas.
FILL Petition packets, notarize and return by Valentines Day. Goal: 50,000 signatures.

Ideas for gathering signatures: your church lobby, public sidewalk, school, college, business, advertise a signature "drive through", Christian event, Bible study, concert, sporting event, theatre. movie theater lobby, craft show, political meeting, social gathering, holiday party, grocery store, hardware store, dollar store, sale barn, g*un show, fast food, restaurant lobby, hairdresser, gym, door-to-door (always take a buddy!) - anywhere you go and everyone you know!

PETITION PACKETS
Each petition packet has room for 40 signatures. (Do NOT copy the packet or remove staples.)
These Official Paper Petition packets require in-person signatures (not online).
Each​ packet must be supervised by one circulator who will notarize that they watched every signature.
Petition packets will be hand carried across the state and returned in-person.

SIGNATURES​​
We are required to present 2% of registered voters signatures from each of the 35 Senate Districts.
We need a minimum of 125,000 signatures total to make the ballot.
The goal is at least 125 petition packets per Senate District.
​​
SIGNERS
Those signing the petition must be registered to vote in Colorado.
Those signing must sign a petition that someone else is circulating.

VOLUNTEER CIRCULATORS
Volunteers gathering signatures (aka "circulators" or "petitioners") must be 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen with a valid ID - volunteers may come from other states to help gather signatures! Circulators may gather signatures from anywhere in the state!

We are asking all circulators to please FILL petitions quickly, notarize, and return them as quickly as possible so that we can keep a running count from each of the Senate Districts. Volunteers from Senate Districts who finish early may help other Senate Districts!
