Prayer Guide

Praying in Unity to End Abortion in Our State

USING THE PRAYER GUIDE:

Though we may not be together physically, we will be uniting spiritually, even while scattered throughout the State of Colorado, by spending time each day in prayer for this movement of God, and for one another, based on the Scripture focus for the day. Beginning on Sunday, the first day of the week, reflect on this Scripture and pray with focus. Also memorize the text in a version you prefer. Share with others and bring other like-minded believers along with you as we engage with Divine power to destroy strongholds (2 Cor 10:3-5).

Week 8

and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having
been given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 LITV
********
Prayer Focus: Belief in Yeshua/Jesus is not just one of many options that ultimately leads down a
path of spiritual enlightenment. God did not devise multiple plans of salvation to appease a variety
of belief systems. He did not allow mankind to invent differing ways of approaching Him. He did
not take into account cultures that might choose to worship other gods or practice other means of
atonement. God chose one plan: the death and resurrection of the Lord Yeshua. There is no “Plan
B” just in case belief in Yeshua alone is too difficult to accept, too narrow-minded or politically
incorrect. What makes Adonai Yeshua Maschiach (the Lord Jesus Christ) so precious and majestic
in all of creation is that He alone is the Savior of the world. He is not just some historical figure
who offers good teaching. He is not an interesting philosopher from long ago who is no longer
relevant in today’s sophisticated society. He is the One and the only Way to a personal and
intimate relationship with the Living God. There is no other name but the name of Yeshua by
which we must be saved—end of discussion. No apologies and no polite accommodation of other
beliefs. We need to walk boldly in the truth that salvation comes only through the Lord Yeshua the
Messiah and His death for us; His shed blood. The only choice is whether or not people will bow
before Yeshua as their Savior now, or bow before Him in the future as He sends them out of His
presence, lost for eternity.

Day 1: Worship Yeshua/Jesus as the only true Savior of the world.

Day 2: Ask the Father to make the person and work of Yeshua as Savior ever more precious to
you in a way that changes your life.

Day 3: Ask the Holy Spirit to examine your belief system. Do you truly walk in the truth that
Yeshua is the only Savior from sin and that you truly cannot save yourself?

Day 4: Repent of ways you have quietly accommodated other beliefs besides Yeshua alone. Pray
for courage to speak truth in the face of opposition, that you will fear the Lord rather than man.

Day 5: Pray for those you know who have yet to believe in the message of salvation in Yeshua.

Day 6: Pray that we will preach and teach clearly a message that Yeshua is the only Savior from
sin.

Day 7 Shabbat: Pray for a mighty outpouring of the truth of Yeshua as the only name given
among men by which people must be saved, throughout our neighborhoods and communities.

Week 5: Repentance and First Love

Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures. He said to them, “Thus it
is written, and thus it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and to rise from the dead the third
day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations,
beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:45-48 WEB

Prayer Focus: Jesus had presented the message of the Kingdom beginning with the command to
“repent.” Now, passing the message to the next generation of messengers, He entrusted the
message of the Kingdom to His disciples. His commission: to speak the truth of the Word of God
by walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. The disciples had been prepared by Jesus to continue
preaching the whole gospel of the Kingdom. They had been with Him teaching the crowds,
applying Scripture to life, healing the sick, taking authority over the demonized, and raising the
dead. They also had been discipled to imitate their Teacher in the message of repentance: “So the
disciples went out, telling all they met to turn from their sins” (Mark 6:12). Now the time had
come for Jesus’ final instructions regarding the importance of repentance. Once the Holy Spirit
came to them and filled them, they would be ready with all understanding and authority to call
people to repent and receive salvation. Jesus’ final words to His disciples are the same to us today.
We must honor the Lord Jesus, as Savior by preaching the whole gospel of repentance and trust.
Repentance may not be a popular message, but it is the truth!

Day 1: Worship Jesus as the only true Savior of the world.

Day 2: Ask the Lord Jesus to take the message of repentance deep into your own heart.

Day 3: Commit to a lifestyle of repentance that invites the Lord to continually examine every area
of your life.

Day 4: Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you with boldness to speak the message of repentance that
leads to salvation.

Day 5: Pray that believers will be faithful to take the message of repentance to their families,
friends, and community.

Day 6: Pray that leaders in our movement, wherever they serve, will faithfully teach and model
the message of repentance and turning from sin.

Day 7: Pray that you will have a vision for your community as the “Jerusalem” that needs to hear
the message of repentance and salvation. Invite Jesus to fill you with His presence and authority to
proclaim truth to the lost and healing to the mothers who are victims of this holocaust among us.

WEEK 4:

Our First Love

Scripture: Revelation 2:4-5

4But I have this against you, that you left your first love. 5Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you, and will move your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent. 6But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.

Prayer Focus: As the Lord Jesus stood in the midst of the first century congregations, He does the same with us today. The followers of Messiah at Ephesus were faced with difficulties which may occur in any age and in any place. They were doctrinally sound and active in doing the right kinds of things. They were even discerning about evil, being opposed to the Nicolaitans. Irenaeus describes them as people who "lead lives of unrestrained indulgence." Yet, in spite of all that, the Ephesian Messianics had been drawn away from a pure love and devotion to Jesus. Despite all good intentions, they were warned of their need to repent, to return to the Lord as first in all things, including their love for Him. He had said years earlier to His first disciples “If you love Me you will keep my commandments.” Obedience is the mark of love and if we are willing to listen, the Spirit is saying the same thing to us today. Has our pure love for the Lord Jesus and obedience to Him been replaced by activity, busyness, and the managing of the “machinery” of our lives and ministries? What is the Spirit saying about our responsibility for revival to come to Colorado and with it the end of abortion? We must acknowledge our sin, earnestly repent, and turn back to a pure and focused love for Jesus. No amount of ministry effort can lead to revival. It is repentance, the turning of the heart back to Jesus in true repentance, that brings the power of His presence in our midst.

Day 1: Worship Jesus that he loves us enough to speak truth to us

Day 2: Thank God that His Spirit convicts of sin and righteousness and judgment.

Day 3: Ask God to reveal if you have strayed from your first love for Jesus. Ask Him for the gift of repentance from losing your first love.

Day 4: Seek Jesus and ask Him to bring you back to pure devotion to Him.

Day 5: Pray that our movement and leadership will recognize where we have been caught in managing ministries and efforts that have blocked our time to love Jesus.

Day 6: Pray that our movement will be transformed by a return to a first love for Jesus.

Day 7: Pray that we will hunger for the pure presence of Jesus to fill us, our families, congregations and from there to spill out into our communities and the entire state..

WEEK 3:

Passion for the Holiness of God

John 2:14-17

Jesus found in the temple those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, and the changers of money sitting. He made a whip of cords, and threw all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables. To those who sold the doves, he said, “Take these things out of here! Don’t make my Father’s house a marketplace!”" His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will eat me up.” John 2:14-17

Prayer Focus: When Jesus walked through the Temple, He was incensed with the consumerism that had replaced the purity of God’s holy dwelling place. Marketing of goods and services and profiteering had overtaken the purity of sincere sacrifice. In passion for the holiness of His Father, Jesus cleared the Temple of those who were an offense to the worship demanded by His presence. He offended the Jewish leaders engaged in the wrongful “business” of sacrifice. As Jesus’ disciples witnessed this, they recalled the word’s of Psalm 69:9 referring to Messiah being consumed with passion for God’s house. It is possible for followers of the Messiah to be swept up in religious consumerism and lack passion and zeal for the sanctity and holiness of the Father.

Does passion for God and protection of His reputation burn within your heart? Are you grieved by anything that might harm His reputation, His name and show Him as less than perfectly holy? How much has His reputation been scarred by abortion? If revival is to come and end abortion, it must be preceded by a burning desire for nothing less than the true presence of God whom the angels declared to be “holy, holy, holy.”

Day 1: Thank Jesus for demonstrating zeal for the holiness of His Father God.

Day 2: Confess to the Lord those times that your passion for the holiness of the Father and willingness to uphold His reputation has been compromised.

Day 3: Repent of ways you have allowed a consumer mentality to overtake the truth of how the followers of Messiah should live and be in contrast with the world.

Day 4: Seek the Lord Jesus and ask Him to fill you with passion and zeal for the holiness and presence of the Father as He truly is.

Day 5: Pray for such a powerful revival in our churches that all of the programs and consumer mindsets will fade in comparison to the beauty of the Father’s holiness.

Day 6: Pray that we all will seek only God in His holiness as we seek His presence in our churches, communities and throughout Colorado to connect the sanctity of life to God’s holiness.

Day 7: Invite the Holy Spirit to graciously cleanse us and our movement in a way that Colorado will take notice of our purity and the holiness of life and the holiness of the Creator of life.

Week 2:

Repentance: The Foundation of the Kingdom

Mark 1:14-15

“Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the Good News of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is near! Repent, and believe in the Good News." Mark 1:14-15

Prayer Focus: John the Immerser (aka baptist) prepared the way for Jesus by declaring that people should prove their repentance from sin and their turning to God by the way they lived. The repentant demonstrated their life-change by keeping the commandments, by demonstrating their love of God through obedience in outward ways. His message was uncompromising, even at the risk of offending those he tried to reach. He went so far as to call some a “brood of vipers” (Luke 3:7-8).

Jesus did not soften his message when he began to preach after John’s arrest. After being immersed in the Jordan river, filled with the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:1), and then spending 40 days in the wilderness, Jesus declared the same foundation for entry into the kingdom: “Repent!” He made no attempt to soften the message by downplaying the issue of repentance.

If Jesus ties repentance and belief together as the means of beginning the experience of salvation, then any message preached minus the power of repentance is a false declaration of the the Good News. If our churches have people who have not embraced the critical place of repentance in their lives before God, we have done a disservice by not telling them the truth. The gift of repentance is an expression of God’s kindness to us (Romans 2:4) and in light of the devastation across generations from abortion, is the foundation for ending this holocaust.

Day 1: Praise the LORD that He offers repentance to us as the pathway to salvation.

Day 2: If you have not truly repented before the LORD, take time now to deal with the sin in your life by confession, asking for forgiveness and starting again.

Day 3: Confess to the LORD your heart’s desire to turn from sin and walk in true belief in Him.

Day 4: Pray that the importance of repentance will not be downplayed in our message of salvation in Jesus to the people of our state, and in its importance in ending abortion.

Day 5: Pray that those who consider themselves to be a part of God’s Kingdom will walk in a lifestyle of repentance as we proclaim an end to abortion and the valuing of all life in Colorado.

Day 6: Pray that our movement will not hesitate to speak of the need for repentance.

Day 7: Ask the LORD in His kindness to do a powerful work of repentance among the people in our state, in our communities, in our families, in our churches and in ourselves as we end abortion.

Week 1:

Rend the Heavens

Deut. 32:31

Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you! ...For when you did awesome things that we did not expect, you came down, and the mountains trembled before you. Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him. Isa 64:1, 3-4 (NIV)

Prayer Focus:

When the LORD descended upon Mount Sinai and made His presence known to the Israelites (Exodus 19), the people trembled in fear and the mountain shook with a violent earthquake. God had instructed Moses to call the people to the purity of repentance prior to His appearing, but neither the people themselves nor the earthly realm could fully manage His physical presence. Now, thousands of years later, Isaiah expresses a longing for God to manifest Himself once again to a people who needed to reconnect to the awesome holiness of their God.

Isaiah cried out for the LORD to rend or tear the heavens and come down again, bringing a renewed fear of the holiness of God. Again, thousands of years later we long for the presence of the LORD that will usher in true holiness, righteousness, and a revival of His people. We begin to understand His awesome holiness when we follow Psalm 1 and meditate in His Law and call it our delight. As we wait for Him with hearts of brokenness and humility, we can anticipate that when God responds everything will be transformed in a heaven-rending way.

Let’s renew our journey towards His awesome presence in these last days and cry out for Him to invade our lives, and by invading, help us bring an end to the killing of our children in our midst!

Day 1: Worship the LORD for His awesome holiness.

Day 2: Confess to Him ways that you have not walked in a true fear of His power and holiness.

Day 3: Repent for the ways you have kept the Lord at a distance through sin (silence in the face of tyranny is sin) and an unrepentant heart and cry out to Jesus to make Him known to you.

Day 4: Ask Him to fill you with a desire for His presence that proclaims His holiness, His mighty power, His fame and His love for pre-born babies.

Day 5: Pray that the Spirit of Holiness will stir in you a heart that cries out for revival and transformation of our culture to one that loves children.

Day 6: Pray that this movement to protect children in our state will experience an awakening to the holiness of the LORD and a desperate desire for Jesus to send His Spirit to work in our midst and in Colorado.

Day 7: Ask Jesus to make the presence of His Father known in and through this movement in a way that brings the power of holiness and grace that can transform our cities!
