An Amazing Answered Prayer

Updated: Jun 28

At a Care Net conference in St Louis about 10 years ago, the Pregnancy Center Director stood in front of hundreds of pregnancy center workers and asked that we pray that the abortion facility in that city would close. We spent less than 5 minutes in agreement to close the facility.

After that prayer (I think the next day), I got lost driving through the city and "accidentally" drove by that facility - it was huge. I don't even know how to describe how massive that building was - it was two city blocks square between two major roads and multiple stories tall. I thought what a huge prayer that was and asked God to increase my faith to pray such a big prayer.

In less than six weeks of that conference, a printed news article came across my desk at our pregnancy center in Colorado that the abortionist from that St Louis facility had walked off the job! To my knowledge, no abortions have been performed there, again.

I do not know who that pregnancy center director was, and she cannot know what an impact her faith made on me that day, how the Lord answering her bold prayer that fall changed the course of my life. It is that faith that I now pray to close all abortion clinics in Colorado.

On our prayer call every Tuesday, we've asked God to end the killing of innocent children in Colorado. For weeks leading up to the closure of the Boulder death mill, we were praying specifically that mothers wouldn't be able to make their appointments, that babies would be spared, and abortionists would walk off the job.

I do not know what happened to the people the abortionist had lined up to take his place when he retired, but what a victory that the abortion clinic in Boulder closed this year!

Now, we are praying against clinics in Aurora, Ft Collins, and Pueblo to close. What would happen if we all take five minutes in agreement asking God to close them?

"If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." (John 15:7)

They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it! (Psalm 22:31)
