Did we get a "small win"?

HB 25-1312 is a demonic bill. Due to thousands of emails to legislators and a noticeably large presence outside the Capitol building - primarily led by pastors with 700 witnesses inside - and most importantly, the capitol surrounded and infiltrated with prayer and the Word of truth being spoken, sections of the bill were gutted. This makes the bill go down easier, but it is still poisonous. Please pray that the session will end this week without the bill going any further!
An equally demonic bill, HB 25-1309 did not get equal attention, emails, and testimony. It was quietly heard the day after 25-1312 without much press and much less testimony. It passed like most godless bills do in Colorado. HB 25-1309 gives legitimacy to castrating teens and doing surgeries to harm their healthy developing bodies as "healthcare" with our premiums paying for them.
Is it a "small win" when thousands of Coloradans stand against a bad bill and the worst of that bill goes away? I think it shows what prayer and action can do. Mostly, the difference was that pastors went to the Capitol and led their flocks to combat evil, grounded in prayer and Biblical truth. There were multiple groups at the state Capitol over several days praying and witnessing.
The legislation coming out of Colorado is demonic. It will be Christ working through His Body, the church, which must defeat it. Satan will always seek to divide, deceive, distract, or discourage in attempts to defeat. That is why it is key we are armed in prayer and Biblical truth being led by the Spirit of God with the full armor of God.
We must remember, Jesus said fasting is sometimes necessary to remove demonic forces. It is also helpful to have winsome, one-on-one conversations with those who are deceived.
"And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will." (2 Timothy 2: 24-26)
Just as the other side has made it very clear what they actually want to put forward in our state and nation - and will push again, if they can, when we aren't watching - having a less evil bill is still an evil bill. It is still giving ground to the enemy; less ground to the enemy than if we'd done nothing.
It is not time to go back to our comfy pews and say that we did a good deed. Because every day the legislature is in session, they are pushing godless laws. We cannot let up. One thing this week did teach us is that when pastors preach and people pray and show up to the battle, the status quo of pushing these bills through with little opposition is disrupted.
This is a start. We got a small taste of what the people of God are capable of. When we draw the line where God draws the line, we can defend moral high ground against the attacks of the enemy. We can completely defeat bad bills and replace them with good law. We don't have to settle for a small victory; we can move forward to take back our state!
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness arrayed, and with your feet fitted with the readiness of the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times, with every kind of prayer and petition. To this end, stay alert with all perseverance in your prayers for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will boldly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it fearlessly, as I should. (Ephesians 6:10-20)
