Why a Constitutional Amendment?

After speaking with multiple attorneys, it was concluded that the best way to overturn the abortion amendment is to put forward a Constitutional amendment to replace it.
Lord willing, we are praying, educating, and working in faith to put forward a Constitutional Amendment that will override the horrible amendment of abortion through birth that treats mutilating and murdering children like "healthcare" - but unlike healthcare, without any regulations or oversite and paid with taxpayer money. Also unlike healthcare, abortion intentionally kills one patient and brings no health benefits and causes unnecessary health risks, pain and suffering to another.
One of my favorite leaders is MLK who is quoted as saying, "It is always the right time to do the right thing." It is simply the right time.
As a Colorado resident, Colorado is our mission field. God called me from a full-time paying job (CEO of the largest pregnancy center geographically in the US and Colorado) to do this work fulltime without pay. Because this is what God has called me to do, I cannot not do this. Colorado is pushing the nation from behind, but even in Colorado, the tide is changing!
Someone just sent me this week a letter written in 1791 from John Wesley to William Wilberforce:
Unless the divine power has raised you up to be as Athanasius contra mundum, I see how you can go through your glorious enterprise in opposing that execrable villainy, which is the scandal of religion, of England, and of human nature.
Unless God has raised you up for this very thing, you will be worn out by the opposition of men and devils. But if God be for you, who can be against you? Are all of them together stronger than God?
O be not weary of well doing! Go on, in the name of God and in the power of his might, till even American slavery... shall vanish away."
I am encouraged by how that fight turned out.
What about the statistics? Here is what we know:
1) According to Pew Research, 61% of adults in Colorado attend a church at least several times per year. If pastors and churches will speak on the issue, the state will turn where the pastors lead.
Christians need to lead public opinion and stop following it. Christ's church (of all denominations of believers) is the only one with the promise that the gates of hell will not prevail. Gates don't move.
As a part of the body of Christ, we are mobilizing God's people to pray and act in faith with educational materials such as a Church Toolkit, CHOOSE Magazine, website, blogs, and Pastors For Life meeting monthly to lead the state for life.
2) The past election is not reliable enough to base anything. We are not sure if this past election is an accurate reflection on the will of the people, as passwords were exposed, the voter record is not clean, and about fifteen points of concern have been raised.
Most financial resources leading up to the election (given to other prolife organizations) was spent researching messaging with virtually no implementation. The research was also based on very limited questions. The messaging itself was not rolled out until within two weeks of ballots dropping which is too little time for any messaging.
Most voters in Colorado didn't know what they were voting for, as the proponents substituted "abortion" with "healthcare" and did not explain that an abortion takes away the life of a human child. There was no explanation of what those procedures are that people were voting for, or the many resources available for pregnant mothers that make every elective abortion unnecessary.
Our educational efforts are on-going. We find every time we put forward a life initiative, it raises awareness, educates voters, and gains momentum for the cause. We must support all prolife measures that are fair and honest to save all children's lives.
There are many pieces to the puzzle - pregnancy care centers, modern adoption agencies, sidewalk counselors, legislative lobbying, and our part, which is a people's grassroots effort to pray and work in faith to educate and mobilize God's people and communities to get a Constitutional Amendment before Coloradans that educates voters and will protect all living children from intentional mutilation and death.
We're not trying to manipulate the vote based on what other people already believe; we're speaking the whole truth and nothing but the truth - in love - that will save people's lives and set people free. Once people know the truth, they cannot unlearn it and are not so easily manipulated and deceived. We lead public opinion with the truth. And then the vote will follow. We have two years until the next election. Let's roll up our sleeves and get started!
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." - Jesus (Matthew 17:20)
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds" - Hebrews 10:24
