Overcome Evil with Good

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)


October is Respect Life Month. It’s also Pastor Appreciation Month.


Someone once said, “it’s easier to curse the darkness than to shine a light.” We are bombarded daily with bad news, but this is what Scripture tells us:


Hate evil, O you who love the LORD!

He preserves the souls of His saints;

He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Light shines on the righteous,

gladness on the upright in heart.

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones,

and praise His holy name.

(Psalm 97:10-12)


The death agenda is working to put on the ballot a Constitutional amendment in 2024 to codify abortion on demand in our state. Abortion is already on demand in our state. This would just make it that much harder to make laws protecting children!


While we say NO to an abortion amendment, we say YES to Life! We are putting forward the first Life Initiative on the ballot since the overturn of Roe! This Life Initiative will protect children in our state from the moment of conception. We need only 20% more churchgoers to vote for life for this to pass!


Abortion in inherently evil and therefore it is not political, but rather a moral and spiritual issue. God says “rescue those who are being led away to death” (Proverbs 24:11) Creating laws to protect these children protects all children and helps protect their parents from sin.

Jesus says, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’


Let’s remember while voting "NO" to a Constitutional Amendment for a "right to abortion", we can vote "YES" to protecting all living children! Darkness is best exposed when shining the Light!


Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. (Philippians 4:8)
