How to Solve the World's Problems?

"Treat others like you would like to be treated," Jesus said (Luke 6:31, Matthew 7:12). That would solve most (if not all) of the world's problems.

People are not that different from each other. Everyone wants to feel loved and treated with respect and kindness.

If you don't like to be cheated, don't cheat. If you don't want to be lied to, don't lie. If you don't want to be murdered, don't murder.

Jesus went even further to say that however we treat the 'least of these' is how we are treating Him (Matthew 25). How are we treating Jesus in the womb?

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." What kind of laws protect you? Shouldn't those same laws protect others, including 'the least of these'?

Who is the 'least of these' in your world? Treat them how you would want to be treated. Treat them like you would treat Christ.

The child, employee, supervisor, friend, spouse, stranger ... how would you like to be treated if you were them?

If we each treat others the way we would like to be treated, what kind of world would we live in? How would it improve our marriage, family, church, community, and government?

“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. Do to others as you would like them to do to you. “If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them! And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, why should you get credit? Even sinners will lend to other sinners for a full return. “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate." (Luke 6, NLT)
